Personal Life
In my own time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, taking road trips, and laughing at myself while watching TV shows with my Mom. I also love spending time with my friends at work and church and will likely talk with anyone who will listen.
Academics & Career
I attended Lone Star College for my Associate’s and gained my Bachelor’s at The University of North Texas. I moved back home to Houston afterwards, and now I work as a Content Manager & Writer for a small local investing company.
My Faith
While I grew up in a Southern Baptist church and do feel that Baptist ideology lines up the most with my convictions, I think that sometimes denominations make us focus on what divides us rather than what unites us.

Mental Health Awareness
This blog is a place for me to share the lessons I have learned and the goals I have as a person with mental illness and learning disabilities. I have struggled personally, academically, and professionally over the years, but I am glad it was not just “smooth sailing.” You cannot learn from success, only failures and partial victories.
My Blogging Goals
This blog serves as a space where mental health and illnesses can be openly discussed, and advice can be given to people struggling with a specific issue. Additionally, I want to use this space as a platform to rectify the notion that mental health treatment and Christianity are at odds. I am living proof that one can struggle with mental illness while still actively pursuing a relationship with Christ.
